I got a STOP 0×0000007f error when restarting my computer after installing a scanner driver and I believe the scanner is the problem but XP isn't letting me just go to REMOVE PROGRAMS and uninstall the scanner software in Safe mode. I need to get rid of the driver and I'm not sure how to do this. Any ideas?

When the computer is booting up (before the windows screen even appears) keep tapping the F8 key on your keyboard.
This will bring up a boot menu. You can choose to start Windows in safe mode from there.

Do what the guy before me said for getting into safe mode
after you get into safe mode do these steps:
steps:
1. right click my computer
2. click manage
3. click device manager
4. look under scanners
5. right click the icon and hit properties
6. click on the driver tab and hit the unistall button.
hope this helps!

Ok
go into safe mode
right click my computer
click properties
go to the hardware tab
click device manager
find your scanner
click uninstall
if that didnt work then:
boot into safe mode
click start
click all programs
click accessories
click system tools
click system restore
now click the circle next to restore computer to an earlier time
click next.
select the date closest to this day but before you installed the scanner driver.
click ok
now the computer will restart.
let it boot into normal XP
Everything should be OK
