After spending over 12 hours of my life actually trying to use vista on my dads computer I have finally given up all hope of ever uninstalling it. I wish to know how to uninstall vista from a computer and put a new operating system on and don't give me any junk like "Just go to add/remove programs" because I will kill you….
Anyway…I have the vista install disk and also the xp pro install disk…I personally use xp pro as vista sucks…So I know jack-all about the vista programming or software.Anyway…Respond soon as I am getting extremely frustrated with this.
I have already tried to format the computer but the stupid thing won't let me…A step by step detail will be much better of use to me as I really am about to smash the screen in…

You can't really 'uninstall' it, you just get rid of it (format) and start over. Just boot from the XP Pro CD and do a clean install of XP, formatting the drive and starting over clean. Vista is such a friggin system hog it's ridiculous.
Server 2003, which is basically an updated version of XP plus the extra server stuff, is the best Windows OS made I think. They should've just worked on what they already had instead of coming up with some totally new crap.

you cant just uninstall vista… its an operating system and is actually quiet good if ya give it a chance but to each their own.
So to get rid of vista you will need your xp disk, and disk code
to remove vista you will have to completly format your pc
1.insert your xp disk and reboot the machine
2. make sure you computer boots from cd first in the bios
3. you will be promted maybe to press a button to boot from cd something like del or f8 (or just hit both those until it boots before vista loading screen appears)
the disk will then scan your computer and compile all your files you will then be prompted to select an option something like repair or install new, if you select the option to install
4. somewhere along the line you will get a screen with partitions on it, delete the current partition and click create new and just create a partion using what ever comes up,
5. from there follow the on screen instructions and a new operating system will be installed.
Be warned though you will loose everything so make sure you back up files doc's before you begin the process.
