Hi,
I need to uninstall Java Runtime Environment so I can install Java JDK. I looked in control panel > add or remove programs, but there are like 2 dozen Java items (Java SE 6 Update 1,3,4,5, Java 5 Update 10,11 etc). I don’t know what to do. I need JDK so I can use Bluej to do various projects at school.
Or, can I somehow just install the JDK ontop of what I have now.
Thanks!

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, wait for the list to get populated and you will find it on that list, all that you have to do at that point is remove the program and it will run the uninstall shield/wizard for you.

Oh, boy! You can uninstall ALL those Java entries. You only need the latest and safest, Java 6 Update 7. Check how much disk space you’ll get back.
Uninstall them all from the Add or Remove window.
Hope that helps.
