My brother bought my mom a kodak easy share camera. It was anything but easy to save the photos to her computer and none of the videos downloaded from the camera can be viewed. (Not even with Open Office.org. We’ve tried on two computers). When she installed the program it took hours for it to finish and then it froze before it was done. We tried to uninstall it, but everytime we do it try’s begin the re-install again. I have tried everything to get it off of the computer because, besides the above noted, it has messed the computer up big time. Nothing seems to work right since the program was installed. Love the camera, HATE the software! The camera she had before was simple to use and simple to download. Just plug in the cord and save to the PC!

you have to go straight to the computers hardrive, to do this you simply go to my computer, add/remove hardware, and it will bring up a list of programs that are on your computer, find the kodak system and click add/remove, it will do it automatically, but it might show you a page that pops up and says "are you sure you want to unistall this program" and you just click yes or uninstall (which ever it says), only click the add/remove program once though because it will uninstall the program, then install it again because of the "add" part of the add/remove program..hope that helps!!

Hmm if all of the automatic uninstalls have failed, you’ll have to do it the manual way. Go to Start>Computer>Hard Disk Drive>Program Files (may be Program Files (x86 on some computers), and find the "Kodak" folder. Delete the entire folder, and then delete the all of the icons. All traces of the program will be removed from your computer!
Cheers!

I’ve uninstalled easyshare s/w and reinstalled it several times using the control panel, never had a problem doing it. You might have lost some part of the registry. You can go online at http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn026079.jhtml?pq-path=5224and chat with a technician to help you out.
I’ve done that before also.
You are correct that easyshare software is virtually useless, but the Kodak Gallery is pretty decent for actually sharing pictures with your friends.

It’s too bad you’re having so many problems with the software. I have it and because it came with the Kodak printer dock I received as a Christmas gift. I just put the camera in the dock & hit the transfer button. Easy!
.
Try this…click on the START button (lower left corner); then SETTINGS; then CONTROL PANEL; ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS; scroll down ’til you find the Kodak software and click to delete it.
.
Kodak has on-line help available. Have you tried them? Maybe you have old software or drivers and you can download newer versions. A link is below.

to uninstall any program on a windows computer with vista all you have to do is click
start then on the right it should say control pannel.
click control pannel.
next you should go down to pograms and click uninstall a program
after you click uninstall a program you should scroll down to the progam you want to uninstall a box will pop up giveing you 2 options uninstalll or change obviously you should click uninstall.
if you try that and it does not work if you dont mind loseing all your programs and haveing to redownload them you can restore your computer
there are 2 ways to do this
the 1st way is to put a restore disk in your computer if you have one
if you dont then the secound way involves a few steps
if your useing vista first you would go to start and go to the right and click computer
next you would go to recovery(D:) and burn it on to a disk you might n ot be able to do it right so u can take it to a store like buest buy and have them do it for you for about 50$

Zach while the manual method you suggest will indeed remove the software from the computer, it will not as you suggest “remove all traces of the program”, because you have not done anything to the entries in the registry. A registry cleaner may be finish the job by getting rid of all the registry entries associated with the program
