i have a duel booting system with windows vista and kubuntu. i want to get rid of kubuntu altogether. i’m not great with computers so a step by step process would be best…. thanks in advance.

You don’t really uninstall it (unless you have WUBI installed under Windows: http://wubi-installer.org/ ), you just format the partition to get rid of the installation. Vista has a built-in partition manager. If you want to get rid of a boot loader, like GRUB or LILO, you need to use a Windows disc to repair the Master Boot Record which will re-install the Windows Boot Loader.
To get to the vista partition manager I think you go into the Control Panel, then to Administrative Tools, and open Computer Management. When the Computer Management window opens you go to Disk Management.
