Hello Yahoo users. My question is all about computers. How do you uninstall a program without going through controll panel. I mean (What files do I need to delete) I am asking this because, I recently installed Paint.net, and something went wrong during the installation, or something got renamed somehow. Where does a computer store its inner program files. NOT C/Program Files/Paint.net. That folder no-longer exists, but my computer is eF’d uP! and constantly tells me it is installed! OMG HELP PLEASE. I cannot reinstall Paint.net for some reason?!? PANIC or relax… Im depending on you people out there, if you have an answer, put it in tutorial form plz. It must have gotten renamed when I did a system recovery.!?!

If you want to uninstall an application that has no uninstall program and it is not listed in the Add/Remove applet of Control Panel (or that uninstall doesn’t work), then just delete the directory/files. Drill down:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE
locating the applications entry and delete them.
Use Explorer to to remove the entries from the Start Menu in either %windir%\Profiles\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\ and/or %windir%\Profiles\YourId\Start Menu\Programs\
If there is an entry in the Add/Remove list, edit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
locate the entry and delete it. If the app has a service, edit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
and scroll down till you locate it. Then delete it.
If this app starts automatically and there is no entry in the StartUp folder(s), then use Regedt32 to edit:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
load REG_SZ and
run REG_SZ
Remove the offending value and reboot.
Good Luck!

begin by emptying out your recylcle bin. then check your options of your anti-virus program (if you have one). this may be blocking the installation of your program.

~make sure that you are downloading the right thing. a lot of times there are some websites that look legit, but are viruses.
