this is my problem i got a computer dual booting windows xp, and ubuntu. i have read forums and stuff and downloaded MBRFix but windows xp is installed on F:/ and ubuntu is installed on C:/ (windows xp was there on F:/ before ubuntu) so what do i do? i also got a third hard drive connected E:/ if thats any help.

i forgot to say the boot.ini has nothing on it but…
[boot loader]

default=multi(0)disk(0)partion(1)\windows
then
[operating systems] dadadaa "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" dadadaa.
also the boot.ini is on the F:/ drive not on C:/ noting is on C:/ just recycle folder and System Volume info

Boot into XP, remove the ubuntu partition, then in CMD type "bootcfg /rebuild" which will rebuild your boot.ini file.
Windows XP and below checks the C:\ drive for the boot.ini file so you will have to change the volume letter from F:\ to C:\
