You have to have the original installation disk for Vista. Then you can just stick that in the drive and do a clean install.

I would recommend that you upgrade to Windows 7 though.

you will need the original Vista installation disk and key to do the installation.

if it was computer that came with vista preinstalled call the company and ask for a disk copy.

Just install Vista and format the partition. That will wipe Ubuntu off all at the same time. Just do it during install. You will see it during install, it will ask.
