When I was using Live Messenger, a Messenger window appeared asking me to download the latest version of Messenger. So, I installed it & I want to uninstall it now. But the thing is, I don't know how. I try uninstalling it from the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs) but Windows Live Messenger never comes up in the list. Someone, anyone, please help!!

I've been through the same darn thing last week..TOOK me a whole day to figure thing out…I checked in the add remove programs, and it wasn't there…I checked the windows applications and it wasn't there so I downloaded the Msn ZAPPER…It uninstalled it in literally 2 seconds…so I reinstalled it and had problems with it again so I uninstalled it (with MSN ZAPPER
, it really helped ) and reinstalled a old version of msn…
hope this helps … here's the link

GO to: your Control Panel's Add/Remove list, and find this:
"Windows Live Essentials"
Windows Live Essentials" appears to be the umbrella uninstaller for Windows Live Messenger and all the other Windows Live products you may have installed. Click on its Change/Remove. You'll be asked if you want to Uninstall, or Repair a Windows Live program. Select Uninstall and click Continue. Then you'll get the list:
"Select the programs you want to uninstall"
Now check "Messenger is" and then click "Continue."
Windows Live Messenger will now be uninstalled from your computer.

Albertan is right. Go to Control Panel, then Programs and Features, then to Windows Live Essentials. It will uninstall the damned Windows Live Messenger.
