Here you go… get a windows xp disk. Insert it into the computer and restart the computer. When bios flashes press the button to get into the boot menu (usually F12). Then it will boot to the cd and say "press any key to boot to cd". Press a key and when it starts up select 'Install Windows XP'. Select F8 (I agree), then when it shows the current versions of windows on the next screen press escape. It will ask to install a fresh copy on one of the partitions. DELETE THE PARTITIONS. Once the partitions are completely deleted you should have one line saying unformatted disk space (or something like that). Install Windows on that. Beware that when you reinstall it you may have to reinstall the drivers. You can get these at the manufacturers website. Have fun!

Insert windows disk in cd/dvd drive

      Reboot !

When it gets to the stage of where to install windows, delete all partitions and create a new partition where your fresh version of windows will be installed and then install it !

      Good luck.

Indy's is good but I would do a DOD wipe though, bad thing is that it could be on the very front of the harddrive before the boot sector or bad sector record.

To make absolutely sure of NO spyware/adware/virus/trojan/worms/etc DO NOT USE WINDOWS, make the switch to linux type system. I've ben using Linux Mandriva without the fear of ANY of the problems of windows stuff, and its sooo much cheaper. Updates are generally out faster too
