How do i wipe my computer and will it fix my DLL errors i keep getting?

I got a new vaio laptop with Windows Vista Home edition a few months ago. Everything was fine until after it automatically installed the service pack. Then when i loged in every, 4 minuits it shut down and restarted saying it had some kind of DLL error. I managed to transfer all my important files with a memory stick onto my other computer and now i just want to wipe my laptop and restore it back to how it was when i bought it. i have two questions.
1. will wiping my computer back to the factory settings get rid of the dll errors?
2. how the hell do i wipe it?
