MSWMM is a Windows Movie Maker project file. If you want it to be Windows Media Video (wmv) first click the File menu on the top of Windows Movie Maker and select “Save Movie File”. Adjust your settings and click “save” and then it’ll be rendered into wmv! Hope this helped.

      Hey there,

Try using ‘Publish to - Computer.’

You will then have an option to choose the settings. If you want a large file size, use the first option which says ‘Best quality for playback on computer.’

If you need to compress it for the web, choose the third option that says ‘More settings’. and you might be able to use the ‘Windows Media low bandwidth’ or ‘Windows Media for Portable devices’ options.

On the bottom left of the screen, you will see the video’s specs written up. You will see it says ‘File type: Windows Media Video’. This is what you’re looking for. Click publish, and wait for your file to be created.

      Best of luck :)
