January 30th, 2009 · 3 Comments

what is a beclick.dll file?
how do i delete it?

thank you very much
i tried scanning it using McAfee but when i delete it using McAfee, it tells me that my anti-virus can't delete it and that i should manually delete it. when i go to where the beclick.dll file is, the McAfee advisory pops up. if i try to delete the file manually, it still can't be deleted

dll files are system files. Run a registry cleaner and if beclick.dll is not actually needed by your system, it will show up as a Registry entry that can be safely deleted. Deleting a dll file whithout being absolutely sure of what you are doing can mess up your system

Beclick.dll is an Backdoor.IRC.Flood file, also known as a trojan horse. Download and run an antivirus/antispyware like Avast and get rid of it.

Looking at reports on this file, there are a few known instances of it being a spyware related file, although very few. Try updating your anti-spyware and running a scan in safe mode. If it is spyware it is risky to try and delete it, as many of these files silently re-create themselves in different names and spread around the machine.
