Lets say I wanted to make a backup copy of my Windows re-installation disc. How do I do this? Can I use a program like Nero or Sonic Record Now! and just make an exact copy of the disc? Can I use a regular blank CD like the kind you would burn music to, or do I have to use another type of disc like a DVD?

Try using Nero, but I am not sure if it will let you. (use the “copy” command)

Just use “Copy CD” from Nero and you will have two identical CDs after you finish.

PowerISO.. copy and make a new image. Burn to a cd.
Or.. download uTorrent. Use thepiratebay.com and search for windows xp. Download and burn the files to a dvd using Nero.
You need a specific dvd format type to have it run during start-up. I forgot which one it is. But Nero can do it. And a regular dvdr is all you need. (I used a dvd, didn’t have cds)
