How do you uninstall ActiveX control

August 8th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I installed an ActiveX control for accessing a website. ActiveX control is “Web Memo Control” on Windows 2003 Server. I want to uninstall it. It is not showing up in Add/Remove Programs. Anyone know how to uninstall this from Windows 2003 Server?
Serenity:
You can only disable or enable the add-ons (ActiveX). There's no way to remove/uninstall. I have IE6 on the 2003 server.

Open Internet Explorer, then click the Tools menu, hover you cursor over Manage Add-ons, then select Enable or Disable Add-ons. In the dialog box which appears, click the drop down menu and select Installed ActiveX Controls. Browse down the list and click to highlight the control you want to remove, then click the Remove button. Respond to the confirmation box, and then close and reopen Internet Explorer.

Good luck and have a nice day.
