When you are working on your computer and installing a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now you are left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you are unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are corrupted.
Do not worry. Windows Installer CleanUp Utility might be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
Download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

I use revo uninstaller as it shows things I don’t see in add/remove menu and it removes things completely (no files left behind)

This is a virus. You’re the sixteenth person that i’ve seen that has this problem, I’m beginning to lose count!!! I had this virus about a year ago, and it tried to make me think that it was an anti-virus software and that i had viruses on my computer and that i should by their software to get rid of it. If you see a little shield icon in your bottom-right corner (task-bar), which you will for sure, then you have the virus that me and four others have had so far (at least as far as i know). The problem is, you can’t remove this program from add or remove programs or anything EASY. It’s gonna start giving you inappropriate pop-ups and stuff too, out of nowhere. When i gave my computer to the repair shop to get rid of the virus, the technicians there downloaded FOUR different programs on my computer, CCleaner (Crap Cleaner), SpyBot Search & Destroy, Avast! anti-virus, and Malwarebytes anti-malware. All these programs are safe, reliable, and FREE to download. I know they’re safe because TECHNICIANS downloaded it for me. The virus is now in the quarantine in Malwarebytes, and so i think that Malwarebytes is the ultimate solution. I would downoad all of the programs though, because they all played a role in it. SpyBot Search & Destroy is to remove things that can be used to "spy" on you, CCleaner is to make space on your computer, get rid of cookies and stuff, and fix registry issues (which can cause errors on your computer). Avast!, of course, is to track down and get rid of viruses. And then finally, Malwarebytes is to get rid of… well, MALWARE!! I would highly suggest you download all of these off their official websites (otherwise you might download a fake virus one). They will all give your computer the ULTIMATE protection, and they’re VERY easy to use, trust me. Here are the websites for all of the program downloads, and remember - They’re FREE!!:

It depends.
If it is something that is considered spyware, you can probably remove it with anti-spyware software such as Spyware Doctor or Ad-Aware.
If it’s not in control panel, there may be a chance that you have an uninstall feature on the program folder within the start menu under the program’s folder. Or you can simply delete the folder from C:\Program Files\[name of program]
This won’t cause any harm on your system unless the programs nature installs drivers.
