how do you use limewire behind a firewall? i am using the windows xp firewall. i have put limewire on the exceptions list so it is allowed to access the internet. i even tried disabling the firewall, and limewire still says that it is behind a firewall. i have tried reinstalling limewire and this does not work either.
Any suggestions?
what is an isp? could that be the problem

Do NOT click the links from computer techie911, she is spamming this link all over answers, trying to destroy your systems. All report her and get the dangerous idiot off this site for good.

As for this question - If the firewall is disabled and it still dosent work…Its not the firewall thats the problem.

Try updating your modem. Some of them have built-in firewalls. Also, look into Task Manager and see what other processes are running. There is probably something there interfering with it.
