[I have windows vista Home Premium, original and legal]
I must be doing something wrong. I have used Kaspersky and AVG. They had a tray icon. Now, with Avast there is no tray icon. and I’ve looked in Task Manager and there is no process beginning with the word Avast.
I installed Avast and it did a scan, but now I am not even sure it is working. Avast appears in the programs list. But when I open it all I see is a weird console (called splash Screen. Here is an image of that console:

When I click on “stop memory test” this is what shows:

Is everything normal and I’m just getting it wrong?
Can someone please help me here?

Did you contact Avast customer service? This is probably your quickest way to a solution or fix.

I have just upgraded to avast professional and when I now click on Internet Explorer “avast professional script blocker” appears on screen momentarily and nothing happens.
