How good is AVG Anti-Virus?

  Yes it’s great at stopping all the stuff we hate. I just personally don’t like how it does it.

  I find McAfee to be much more user friendly.

  not that really good if your just looking for anti-virus get avast or avira they have better dection rates and they help protect you from viruses

  used it for years, never got infected and the price is great (free).Plus its excellant for older pcs since it is a much liter software than mc afee.

  Not very good at all. We had it on our computers when something went wrong with AVG 8 (i think it was 8). We downloaded Avast and it found quite a few viruses and trojans AVG missed. Avast also updates almost daily. Much better program all around.

  I would suggest using Avira Antivir Free since it has the best detection rates

  You may only have one antivirus and one firewall
  This isn’t the case for antispyware though because they don’t conflict. So you can have more than one antispyware

  Also switch to firefox from IE since firefox is safer and faster
