Can you imagine how Wall Street would have been able to hold a gun to our head and force US to bail them out of their own greedy criminal acts.

As a current beneficiary of social security, I have had this same thought, ever since Bush was elected. I feel like we “dodged the bullet” by not privatizing the system, and I think it was actually getting close! If you are too young to be worried about it, remember…someday you will care. Thank God there were enough people against it to keep the money safe! Now, if they would just stop raping the program!
