I'm not sure it does say that.
Infinitely worse is that people paying into Social Security now won't benefit one damn bit from it, ever.

To answer your question;
No where in the constitution does it say anything about social security or minimum wages. Welcome to the world of socialism and socialist judges. America was built without social programs, and will fail because of them.

It doesn't say they can't, so they can if they pass legislation. I know you'd like to open some sweat shops here. Sorry we can't accommodate you.

If you don't like it move to Somalia where they don't have social security or min wage

Article I, section 8.
"To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof."
Same place it says the Federal government can make murder illegal (That's not in the Constitution, by the way…so does that make murder legal?)

The commerce clause and the necessary and proper clause of the United States Constitution give the legislature virtually limitless authority to draft laws. These include creation of a national bank, the regulation of unfair labor practices, the restriction of certain drugs or weapons. The Constitution does not deal with any of these specific issues but the necessary and proper clause and the commerce clause gives Congress the right to regulate them as it sees fit.
Your view that individual business owners should have the right to contract as they choose with any employee they hire with regard to wages and hours worked was overruled. The old law was Lochner v. New York. Lochner was deflated by West Coast Hotel v. Parrish and all vestiges of Lochner were removed by Williamson v. Lee Optical.

Great point. It doesn't. What is really funny is that the ones paying the most into Social Security(SS) are the ones who probally will not need SS benifits when they retire. The professionals, upper-middle class, and the upper class who have to pay into SS to support those who would need it. What the heck is wrong with that?(everything.)
Though minimum wage does have something to do with the standar of living. If you paid a man say: $2 an hour and he worked 80 hours 52 weeks a year, that would be around $8k a year. Can't really live on that, can you?
