How to deal with virus like worms and others using AVAST antivirus in a iMAC?

i can't get rid of them as they remain in the pen-drive, scan after scan. N.B i know they are harmless in MAC, just want to remove them anyway!

Some of the anti-virus software makers like Symantec etc. have free trial software on their websites which you could use to clean up the flash/pen drive. Your other option and a lot easier, is to just erase the flash/pen drive and reformat it. You can do that with the disk utility program in your utilities folder. Take you about 30 seconds.
