Lately my computer has been "hanging" on websites more than usual. I have installed for 2 years a current version of norton antivirus that is also supposed to scan for adware but I’m wondering how I can be sure? What other reasons would websites hang like that? What else can I do as double insurance that all spyware is being removed?

if you have a genuine copy of windows download microsoft security essentials, its by far the best anti-virus software provided by microsoft for free as a reward for having genuine copies of windows instead of copying another version

I’m going to get a crapload of thumbs down for this, but in all sincerity here’s how I do it: I don’t use Windows. Only Mac & Linux. Viola! No viruses or spyware.

MalwareBytes, download it, update it. Close it and update once more then run a full scan on your hard drive.

Also try ESET’s online scan.
