I turned on my laptop today, and it for some reason I got the blue screen of death. It says, "STOP: c0000135 {unable to locate component} This application has failed to start because user32.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem." I bought my laptop on overstock, so I don't have a XP CD thing. Is there anyway to fix this? Preferablly with all my files still surviving.
P.S. If you haven't guessed, I'm horrible at computers, so you'll probably have to explain how to fix it the way you would to a 7 year-old.

Without the XP CD your only hope (for a 7 year old) is if the laptop is a HP/Dell/Compact/Sony. In which case you can try to acess the computers system restore fubction by the use of the function keys before windows tries to load.. Track down the type/brand and goto the MFG's website to find out which function key it is (F12 or F8 usually)
You can try to find the user32.dll file and download it but in order to copy it to the windows root directory you will need to read and write to an NTFS partition. Typically you can do this with the recovery console, but since you do not have the CD that is NOT an option.
