How to fix a Userinit.exe application error. Error code 0xc0000005.?

June 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Hi. Ive already asked this question but something went wrong and I can't view the answer.

Whenever I try to log into a user account An error message comes up saying:
"userinit.exe"
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate application."
Safe Mode has the same problem, and I have tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete but it only works on accounts that are NOT administrators. Don't know what else to do. Any help would be great. Please give detailed answers because I don't know much about computers.

      Heys,

i had the same problem, i waited a while for it to load and it didnt so i pressed ctrl+Alt+Del and did a new 'Run' and opened C drive. The desktop loaded after that. But since you said ctrl+alt+del only works for accounts other than admins, i'm not sure there…
mayb u could press 'del.' at the beginning and enter the bios and start windows as somethiing different. not sure if that's possible but just wondering that it mite work if it does.
