My boyfriend has an Acer brand laptop, and was messing around with the theme files. He was following a website’s directions to get a Windows Vista theme change and made a copy of the theme .dll file, but saved it as a wrong file. Now, when he logs in he gets a black screen and cannot access the start menu or any control panel options. ‘Error: Theme .dll cannot be found, please re-install this file’ comes up on start up. Is there anything we can do to fix this problem?
