How to Install Windows on Intel-based Mac?

July 24th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I currently have a MacBook Pro with 10.4 Tiger… Is there a way to be able to run windows XP or Vista on it? I know they had a bootcamp program but it has since expired and they say you have to buy Leopard in order for bootcamp to run and thus, install Windows….. Seems kinda redundant.

Is there a way to just buy windows and install it on this computer without all the extra cost?

you could just buy Crossover, or you could do the 30 day free trial. Crossover is a program for Macs that allows you to use other programs that are only available for PCs.

Well you can't just buy windows and install it but there is a way you can put windows on your Mac without upgrading to Leopard using a program called Parallels.
There are 2 links below, the first one is for Parallel which has the download and how to install it.
The second link is how to use Parallel to install windows.
