How to integrate audiogenie2.dll into a visual fox pro 9 sp2 program?

Any help would be appreciated. Trying to include a control based on a dll on a program. The control also has an activex which I can make work however is no longer supported. I have tried various declare statements but think I am making mistakes in the conversion from unicode characters to string. Please see http://forum.audiogenie.net/index.php?topic=213.0
Have been struggling with this for a couple of weeks and do not seem to be any closer to an answer. Any help would be appreciated.
