how to reinstall web shield on avast with out downloading a new copy of the program?

i maually updated from 4.7 to 4.8 and i want to get web sheild back but i don't want to download a new copy and install it because i have a virus in the chest. and don't want it to go some where and the virus is Win32:CTX is it even r3eal or false postive i hear its fom panda active scan or something yes its a : not a .

      open up the worksatation that came w/ the install
      click on repair update option follow prompts on what u want installed

      In your system tray, click on the revolving blue Avast ball (I merged the two balls into one when I first installed it) that brings up the "Resident Protection" screen. At the bottom of that screen, click on "Details" . On the next screen that comes up, on the left you'll see a box that says "Installed Providers". Slide that slider down, and 'Web Shield' is second from the bottom. As soon as you click on 'Web Shield' it will bring up the control for that protection.

      As for that Win32:CTX , I saw that you asked about it three months ago (your question is the last listing on the first screen if you Google Win32:CTX ). If you've had it in quarantine / virus vault since then, you can safely delete it.
