I am currently using the trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. A few days ago it picked up a trojan, which Kaspersky called a 'riskware Trojan.generic'. It is currently in detected threats under 'quarantined'.
However, although it's not doing any harm, Kaspersky will not let me remove it. The 'disinfect' all button is greyed out, and the 'quarantine' button simply gives me a list of my files, which is pointless as its already quarantined.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks

Why are you coancerned about programs placed in quarantne.
They are safe thee and unable to harm your computer.
When you decide not to renew the trial and you uninstall Kaspersky the virus in quarentine is also deleted and will not harm you again.
When you installed the trial, did you do that with the intention to purchase it after the trial is finished, or did you just install it, to have a free anti virus for a while.
When you have no intention to purchase it, I would uninstall Kaspersky with the help of Revo Uninstaller.
It is very good and free

To protect your computer for free is very well possible.
Comodo Internet Security free is such a program.
Anti virus and firewall pro

Kaspersky take care of all infections and delete/disinfect/
quarantine everything for you…..no input from you required.
If you click the help button on the bottom left of the scan
page and scroll down to this…Reaction to
threat:Virus scan and click display….this below can be seen
along with other information.
If you are working in the automatic mode, the application will automatically apply the action recommended by Kaspersky Lab's experts when a dangerous object is detected. For malware objects
this action is Disinfect. Delete if disinfection is not possible.
The only thing you have to do is when you see vulnerable
items detected….this means that particular item needs
updating to a newer version as its now insecure or maybe
you are missing a microsoft update…..thats all you do.
