I already ran a full system scan using Norton Internet Security (told me that my computer is secure and all risks are fixed) but I still have the XP Antivirus on my taskbar. An XP Antivirus appears on my screen occasionaly and a bubble pops up stating I have 870 viruses. How do I fix this? I’m in a state of paranoia right now. >.<
BTW, i installed the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware already. Does this help?

XP Antivirus is just a scam to make you think that your computer is not secure and tries to take your money. Google XP Antivirus and the first few links will tell you how to remove it.
Apparently some other Yahoo! Answers people have had the problem, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071224055722AAKrNMg

Thats the beauty of Norton, even though your computer is infected and almost dead, it will still tell you that you are safe and well, nothing to worry about.
Try installaing Avast Home http://www.avast.com
Choose to scan after restart, if any found, option 2 to delete

XP Antivirus 2008 (XPAntivirus 2008) is a new version of well known fake spyware cleaner. This program have aggressive behaviour and deceptive advertising tactic. XP Antivirus 2008 displays false security warnings and malware detection reports to scare users into buying full version of this useless program. Likewise older versions, XP Antivirus 2008 can install other malware, capture browser’s homepage, redirect search results and slow your computer. We recomend to remove XP Antivirus 2008 from your PC.
