Yahoo’s searchscan technology alongwith McAfee labelled one of my clients website with a warning of having a potentially dangerous download. It was due to an in-house toolbar developed by our programmer which has now been removed from the website, but inspite of repeated emails to yahoo and mcafee and even calls to the mcafee customer support, the warning hasnt disappeared inspite of it being many weeks now. We have been patient, waiting for yahoo to pick up a new cache of the website without the toolbar but from the responses, I get to know that yahoo thinks its mcafee’s problem to remove the warning while mcafee thinks the other way round.
We must be losing a lot of business due to potential clients not clicking on our website whenever it appears in a search result due to the warning. please can anybody suggest a way out here, what would be the quickest way to remove this warning.
