How to uninstall a progran that want uninstall?

I recently got a pop up from windows that said update needed so i accepted, it ended up being Anti-virus XP 2008, that just want your $, that is annoying and it will not uninstall, says error and i have the choice to send error report but the progran will not uninstall, how do i get this off my computer?
daniel it is not letting me view the pages you requested what can i do , what is this rogue, do u think i got a virus

      The popup was a fake windows popup. Windows did not sent that to avoid that popup in the future disconnect your internet before closing it. Also check out my blog that has some info about it.
