How to uninstall Ask Tookbar?

November 2nd, 2009 · 3 Comments

The Ask toolbar suddenly appeared on my computer. I am trying to get rid of it. I am using Vista and navigating to the following path.

Control Panel > Programs and Features

When I click uninstall it just gives me a messages saying it can’t uninstall because an IE window is open. Even when every program is closed. Any ideas how I can get rid of this pesky ad ware?

start your computer in safe mode and remove from there

if it randomly appeared it could be a virus or you didnt read what you were downloading.
