well i have a comcast anti virus installed and i need to know its name and how to uninstall it.
i also need to install a new one so i have to delete this one first.

Comcast generally uses one of two programs:
CA (Computer Associates) Internet Security
McAfee Internet Security
For either one you should be able to go to:
XP- Control Panel > Add Remove Programs
Vista - Control Panel > Programs
From there either should be listed and you should be able to select it and hit the uninstall button. If you're still having problems I know McAfee at the very least has its own removal tool:

You can try the McAfee Removal Tool. Please read all the steps carefully first. You may also want to contact Comcast in advance to confirm that the tool can be used.
