Ive installed the beta of IE8 and it sucks. I want to go back to IE 7, but I cant figure out how to uninstall it. Every website says to go to Control Panel, Uninstall/Remove a Program, then click on updates, and it is listed as an update that can be removed.
However, it does NOT show up in my updates list; there is nothing about Internet Explorer anywhere.
What can I do to get rid of this crappy thing? thanks!
I checked the tech forum mentioned below, but my computer doesn't have an IE8 file, nor could I locate a SPUNINST.exe file.
Nor does it show up in installed updates or programs as mentioned int he second answer below.

Go to My computer->Add/Remove programs. Then click, on the left hand side, "Add/Remove Windows Components", and look for Internet Explorer 8 beta and remove it.
I hope that helps you. If you liked my answer please mark it as "Best Answer"

I just tried this and it worked so try again.
Go to the control panel\ add or remove programs\ check show updates at the top of the window if it really isn't there than you don't have in and you should restart your computer.
Or save the hassle and use firefox it's faster and safer!

You should be able to uninstall IE8 Beta 2 in add/remove software, failing that carry out a System Restore to just before you installed it. If you want a far better browser than IE7 take a look at Google Chrome its blisteringly fast http://www.google.com/chrome
