How to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista?

  you need to select ’show updates’, it should be there…
  but why? ie8 is far superior to all other browsers…

  that said, if you had a newer version of vista which had ie8 preinstalled instead of 7, you can’t, it’s integrated.

  In Windows Vista, IE 8 is not considered to be a "program". Instead, IE 8 is categorizing as an "update"

  To uninstall IE 8
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Click on Uninstall Programs link or Programs and Features icon.
  • On Tasks pane on the left, click on View installed updates link
  • Locate and select Windows IE 8 in the list of installed updates
  • Cick on Uninstall button
  • Click on Yes when asked that are you sure want to uninstall the update.

  If there is no option of IE8 or the uninstallation of IE 8 is unclean (causing error message), then try to manually run the spuninst.exe. To do so, go to C:\WINDOWS\ie8\spuninst\ folder and run spuninst.exe. Restart the computer after uninstallation completed.

  Ok, here is what you do step by step,

  1 click start
  2 then click control panel
  3 then click add or remove programs (Wait for the list to load, may take a while.)
  4 now in the list look for world of warcraft or something similar to that then click it
  5 ok right to the world of warcraft tab, click remove, (Or whatever it says)
  6 then a window should pop up, just follow the instructions to remove it.
  7 supposing you removed it… There you have it!
