I want to uninstall the Microsoft .NET framework from my computer. But there are like 5 versions from 1.1 to 3.5 service pack 1. Is there a special order I have to uinstall these from or do I have to do it from Safe Mode or what? I
BTW, I’m an expert with computers, so you don’t have to baby me. I just don’t want to wreck something because I’m being stupid.

You need to uninstall them starting from the highest version, 3.5, then the next highest, and so on, uninstalling 1.0 last.

if you were an expert with computers, you would know that, when a new service pack for the framework is installed, the original system configuration is simply updated. newer versions are not installed seperately…..
any ways….uninstall it in the control panel under uninstall programs..

through deleting the odd large file on my pc i ended up ‘breaking’ ms net - which i later ended up needing. i found it impossible to delete, repair, upgrade, downdrade, ms net. managed to find a freeware cleanup tool to totally delete and remove all trace of msnet, which did the trick and i was able to then install msnet again. not sure if i can post a link but what you want is ‘Aaron Stebner Cleanup Tool’
