how to uninstall trend micro?

I downloaded trend micro and it worked well for a while. Then my computer started freezing up. I tried to uninstall it several times and it wouldn't let me. I tried to delete it from my control panel but it won't let me do that either. I tried reinstalling it to see if that would work and then re uninstall it but that didn't work either. I downloaded Revo uninstaller and tried that and that too didn't work. Now I have no virus protection and I do not know what to do. I am not knowledgeable of computers but I do know a little bit. Any help that you can give me in step-by-step instructions will be greatly appreciated.
