my friend just put mcAfee antivirus in my computer.
but i really dont know wat to do with it?
in the taskbar wen i put arrow on mcafee then it shows mcafee oas enbled.
i just wanted to know wat should i do with it once in a while.
am i supposed to do something or will it do all by itself . i mean wen i rite click it these r the options i get, now wat am i supoosed to do with it.

on access scan messages
on demand scan
update now.
now in order to keep my computer clean wat actions am i supposed to take.
my friend told me to rite click on my computer n click on scan threats n then where shud i click on - on clean or continue.
n then wat am i supposed to do.
he asked me to do this once in a while.
n also if iam downloading something from internet n if mcafee detected something n asks something then wat shud i do .
plz help iam new with computers.

so do i have to update daily.
that means i have to click on "update now" daliy once right?

Dont worry,it's auto protect, and also you can right click on your hard driver or folder then click "scan with McAfee"

Mostly it should be set to do everything automatically and only turned off if you are instructed to do so by someone knowledgeable and reputable while they are helping you resolve a problem OR if you are installing a new program.

To work out what you are using, you would probably open the virusscan console. In there, I would expect you will find a Help menu and one of the entries should be “About” - click on that to find out what your friend installed.
