the novice that I am, Norton Anti-virus came installed, been doing fine, today when trying to run a manual scan, pops up a “Norton Anti-virus could not access scan engine-please ensure the product is properly installed.” Maybe me but I couldn’t find any “help” from Norton. How do I re-install and what could have made it “un-install?” Thanks to all in advance.

To be frank with you and suggest you un-install norton completely and instead download “avg antivirus”. there are lots of reasons for this but it boils down to norton being a bit pants
To un-instal norton you should be able to click Start>control panel>add or remove programes and find norton there and un-instal. Or you might have to go to to Start>programs>Norton>uninstall norton. Something like that.
Just search google for ” avg free ” , The free version is 100% safe, and much better than norton.
Course you dont have to listen to me at all, just thought i’d give you my two cent
