Hello guys! Please shed me some light regarding this question.:
My HP DV6620 laptops pre-installed Norton antivirus had expired and I replaced it with Avast. Now when I did this my laptop had crashed and I started to have trouble uploading and receiving files from the internet. i tried several brands of antivirus software but still experienced the same problems. As a gut feel I downloaded a trial version of the same antivirus (Norton) that my laptop had prior to changing and there! All the problems were gone and my laptop was running perfectly again! Why is my HP laptop dependent on norton antivirus for my internet activities? Does it have anything to do with it having a windows vista OS? Please help and thanks in advance for any information you might share. Peace out!
