I have a Desktop with the configuration given below
Chipset is ASUS ‘P5RD1-VM’ SeriesProcessorcessr is P IV 3.0GHz
80 GB SATA HDD
When I tried to install Windows XP in my Desktop, there were a problem occured as ‘Set up did not find any hard disk drivers installed in your computer. Make sure any hard disk drivers are powerd on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program
Set up cannot continue. To quit set up press F3″

i think this is done because buy Asus. it is not common so xp dont has drives for that i hink you contact system administrator and install drivers and then install it.

The setup says that it cannot find your hard drive.
Restart your computer and press DEL or F1 or whatever enters you into setup. Look at the names of the primary or secondary devices. Look for one that starts with 80000 or something close to that. If your hard drive is not listed, then proceed below, if it is, then try setup again.
You will have to turn off your computer and do the following:
Open your computer
Look at your hard drive, make sure power and sata cables are securely fit into the connectors.
Put case on, restart setup.
If your comp still does not recognize the hard drive, then it is a faulty hard drive, and it will have to be replaced.
