so go to add remove programs in your control panel and uninstall it

Correct. In order to install Kaspersky, you must COMPLETELY remove your old Anti-Virus software (be it Norton, or McAfee or many others.). there are removal tools you can find for almost every anti-virus to remove the old one before you put kaspersky on.
PS: Good choice on Kaspersky… it’s the best.

Anti-virus SW works at a really low level in the operating system by intercepting file driver reads/writes and triggering off of device mounts. If you have two anti-virus SW products installed, they can really mess each other up or even cause Windows to fail. Uninstall the old one before installing Kaspersky.

you are supposed to remove the old one to make some improvements and save space in your computer….. Kaspersky is a great anti-virus software. It can track all the viruses in your computer.

Use this Great Uninstaller, better than your add and remove program. It will clean up all the left over files too.
