Ever since June 13th 2008, I am trying to open my attachemnts zipped or unzipped even pdf format your sight's Norton Antivirus scanning taking time and I am unable to open my attachments. I waited for hours sometimes still unable to open and scanning was continued…..
Please urgently advise why this is hapening to me only????
I attached and send some docs to some of my friends on their yahoo id…. they have no problem opening them….
I have CA internet security suite on my laptop and I am sure this is not causing any restrictions….
I will Highly appreciate your quick response…….

If it's all attachments then there is something wrong in your Norton settings, try updating norton, or if you did update norton and it started doing it then use go back on your computer and go back before that date and restore your computer to that time or a week before that, if it fixes your problem after restart check your mail if it still does it then disable norton autoscan click on the scan e-mail attachments and disable the scan e-mail automatically, then try opening your attachments, hope this helps!

cause norton is a resource hog. uninstall it and install avira/kaspersky/avira your choice. avast is also a good one.
