I am using Avast Anti virus free version. After scan it reports that it couldn't scan certain files-Why?

I use the free version of Avast Anti Virus. Every time after the (anti-virus) scan is finished it reports that it couldn't scan more than 280 files. I don't understand. Is this harmful? At present I am not facing any problem with the computer. What can I do in this regard?

Thats because those are the files someone is hiding porn in there and they blocked it!

Anti-virus programs usually cant scan protected system files. This is normal and not necessarily anything to worry about.
