The error message reads "The Wizard cannot set the DHCP scope options. Ensure that the DHCP server service is running and that a scope is defined. Alternatively, disable the DHCP service manually and then configure your client computer IP address properties." I am not a computer person and am stuck trying to figure this out. I know that my firewall has the DHCP disabled.

well configuring the scope options won't put u online,, That error is saying that u are trying to set run a DHCP server service and u haven't defined an IP scope or possibly haven't configured the server… what side of the firewall have u put the DHCP server on? if it's addressing clients on the network it should be behind the firewall,, ur DHCP server should never have to traverse a firewall to address ur subnet.. and if u can't get online u need to be checking ur interface settings rather than adjusting the DHCP server. what is ur ip address and default gateway settings,, what can u ping? if u can't ping the gateway ur probably not addressed properly… heh start by pinging urself to check ur TCP/IP stack,, then work outwards… wherever u can't ping thats the problem localhost,, then a device on the network,, then the default gateway, then ping ur DNS server then ping a device on the internet… lol u may beed some professional help

Ok. Here's the thing. You are asking many questions at once.
First off, cannot connect to internet:
1. Open your Network Settings.
2. Make sure the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway are all setup correctly. The IP Address and Subnet mask are set statically on most servers so you should really ask someone mor technically savvy what that information is. The Default Gateway is the IP address of your router.
This should at least get your system surfing the internet.
Second you're asking about DHCP scope options. From what I'm reading whoever asked you to set this up wants to NOT use the router as the DHCP server and use the Windows Server 2003 as the DHCP server. This is a mid-level question that most IT professionals get paid good money to do. What I can suggest is read online about setting up Windows Server 2003 DHCP Server options.
Third, if your server is going to be the DHCP server, it will probably act as a DNS server. Again, read up on Windows Server 2003 DNS server for information on how to set that up.
I hope this helps you in doing at least what you need to get done. If it is too overwhelming, you may want to ask for some $$$ to hire a contractor for a day to get this resolved.
