I got Norton as a trial version when I got the computer. I've been getting LOTS of viruses and spyware lately, so I started using "Super Anti Spyware" and "Avast! Antivirus" (both are free versions). Well I haven't used Avast! yet, but I did download it.
I understand that I must uninstall Norton to use Avast!, but my computer is not letting me! It says I have to log in to Nortons and then hit uninstall, but when I click on Norton for it to load, the frame comes up but it never fully loads!
Is there another way I can uninstall Norton? Is it possible that the reason it may not be loading is because I have Avast! installed? Currently I'm trying to uninstall Avast to see if that is the problem, but if it isn't PLEASE, PLEASE, GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!
My computer is running SO slow, and sometimes when I turn it on it won't even load my desktop or the start bar! It's just my wallpaper that I can see! I'm lucky it actually allowed me online today!
HE-ELP!

If you have xp do a system restore and go back to before you installed Norton. That should take it off. And NEVER run two antivirus softwares at the same time.
