hey i have a acer aspire e500 and i just installed vista on it and i went to the acer site and downloaded all the drivers there but i have no sound and in the sound options it says no sound devices installed how do i fix that and is there any site where i can download all the drivers for vista??

its windows vista, thats how it functions normally

remove the vista and download it again

the other day my computer did all its updates, and it did something with my sound drivers .. this is what I did.
go to your start menu and open the control panel
then click on Hardware and sound
then click on Device Manager its gonna ask you for permission. click OK
then find the sound video and game controllers and click on it.
Click on your speaker driver and double click it
then go to the driver tab
once that opens and see where it says update driver? click that.. it will take a few minutes but it should do the trick.
