I already installed Adobe CS4 Master Collection a few weeks ago, then I used System Restore yesterday, to restore my PC to a time when a certain program was installed. By that time, Adobe CS4 Master Collection wasn’t installed yet.
Now, when I went to my Program Features (Add/Remove Programs in XP) I saw that Adobe CS4 Master Collection’s entry was still there. So I tried to open a .PSD file with Photoshop. But it was associated with QuickTime’s PictureViewer, I right-clicked the file then chose "Open with…". I tried to find Photoshop but it wasn’t there. Then I uninstalled Adobe CS4 Master Collection from Program Features, I checked all the components installed and went on, but after few minutes the uninstaller said that it had a problem in uninstalling. I tried to uninstall it again, but this time, the components from the uninstaller were gone and I have nothing to check. But I continued and clicked "Uninstall". The uninstaller didn’t respond for few minutes, and I can’t cancel the uninstall process. So I went to Task Manager and ended the process. I tried to use the CD to reinstall it, but it can’t also install anything.
Maybe there’s a problem which the System Restore caused.
How do I fix this?
*I’m using Windows Vista SP2 Home Basic.
